Are you curious about hypnotherapy and how it may help you? Have you ever looked for hypnosis in your local area but weren’t quite sure about the whole thing? If this sounds like you, then this post is for you.
Hypnosis in Your Local Area
Working one-on-one with a skilled hypnotist in your area can be a very impactful experience for people hoping to enact personal change. I wanted to answer a few questions that potential clients might have about hypnosis so that you can make an informed decision on the best fit for your goals.
Who Needs Hypnosis?
My clients all come from different backgrounds, hold different occupations, and have different personalities—but the one common denominator is their desire to let go of something (i.e., a fear, addiction, or limiting belief) that will allow them to pursue something greater (freedom, a goal, better quality of life, etc.). If this sounds like you, keep reading!

What to Expect from a Hypnosis Session
If your idea of hypnosis comes from Hollywood and includes swinging watches and magical trances, you’re not alone. Because of this misconception, hypnosis often gets a bad rap. But it’s actually a powerful tool that can be of tremendous help when it comes to overcoming fears or banishing limiting beliefs.
But first, what is it exactly? I like to define hypnosis as the art and science of influencing an unconscious mind. Think of it as someone guiding you into a relaxed state where your unconscious mind is more open to positive external influence. Contrary to popular belief, you’re not sleeping or being brainwashed, you’re simply relaxed and open to suggestion.
As simple as it sounds, though, hypnosis is a both a learned skill and art form—and in order for it to work, it needs to be performed with your specific goals, desires, and challenges in mind. Through our hypnosis sessions, I get to the bottom of what it is you truly want, as well as learn the type of phrasing that your unconscious mind is most receptive to so that I can incorporate all of this into my suggestions. Most people do report improvement after a few sessions with me.
Even though hypnosis plays a large role in my practice, it’s not the only tool we can use to get you to your end goal. Not by a long shot. Tune in to my next blog post to read about other tools I often utilize for anxiety, negative thinking, weight loss, fears, and addictions.
