What Is Meridian Tapping?

Meridian Tapping is a lot like acupuncture, but without the needles. The body is equipped with an energy system that travels along pathways known as meridians. Tapping on these meridian endpoints stimulates this system, unblocking the energy to flow naturally when verbally or mentally addressing the root causes of distress.

Why Meridian Tapping Works

Meridian Tapping is a needle-less cousin of acupuncture. Acupuncture and meridian tapping utilize the principles of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese medicine, which goes back thousands of years, and is considered a form of primary care today by many people, especially in Asia. Practitioners believe the human body has a multitude of energy points connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways create an energy flow (called Chi) through the body that is responsible for overall health. Emotions can cause the disruption of this Chi energy and vice versa.

With meridian tapping, I teach you how to how to stimulate those energy points to reduce negative emotions related to specific thoughts. Rather than having to see an acupuncturist and be pricked with needles, this is something that you can learn in my office (or over video conference) and do anywhere and anytime when an unsettling thought occurs. We use it for habit control, stress and anxiety reduction, resolving fears or phobias, and reducing negative self-talk.

Meridian tapping has been shown to be effective for a number of conditions in evidence-based studies. It has even been shown to be an effective treatment for PTSD!
